Within an extended application management structure, adesso takes over large parts of the direct insurer’s existing systems. Under this structure, the IT service provider is not only responsible for the maintenance and further development of the systems, but also for requirements analyses with regard to major system upgrades, along with the implementation and quality assurance of such upgrades. Within the project scope, adesso experts from Germany are collaborating with colleagues from Turkey in international teams.
The SmartShore portion of the contract offers attractive conditions to adesso customers, such as the direct insurer currently taking advantage of the service. It also allows them to retain the greatest possible measure of project transparency in an intelligent team mix.
adesso has already attracted many clients from several sectors to its SmartShore model, including a major German automotive group. The nearshoring concept, where tasks are relocated to nearby European countries, is also proving to be a driver of growth for adesso, not least because of the cultural, linguistic and time-related advantages that nearshoring can offer when compared with offshoring.
Around half of the sales generated in Turkey stem from the SmartShore service. adesso now has 150 employees in Turkey. The foundation of the new adesso subsidiary in Bulgaria, an EU member state, in mid-2018 set a course for the expansion and development of this successful model. Nearshoring projects for three well-known German customers are already under way at this location.
adesso is currently examining additional European locations in order to drive the internationalisation of its service business forward.
