adesso bolsters its Lausanne site

Since the beginning of 2018, the consulting and IT service provider adesso Schweiz AG has been represented in Romandy (the French-speaking region of Switzerland) where it continues to drive forward its intensive strategy for growth. The branch office in Lausanne is now being reorganised and expanded. In addition to occupying larger office spaces, adesso is also filling new key positions.

A few days ago, adesso moved into its new offices in Western Switzerland. The new site in the attractive Flon district in Lausanne now offers space for around 20 employees.

The relocation also includes reinforcement in the form of new personnel: To continue their intense focus on regionally rooted industry in Western Switzerland, adesso has brought Daniela Boes on board – a powerful woman in the area of business development. She brings with her many years of experience from working with the open source software developer Red Hat, with which adesso enjoys an intensive partnership. She started out at Red Hat as Head of Middleware for all of Switzerland and managed customers in the areas of middleware and container technologies for ‘first of a kind’ projects. She was then offered the opportunity to handle key accounts for Red Hat within the Romandy region. She seized this opportunity and moved with her whole family to Lausanne.

Recruiting Daniela Boes put at adesso’s disposal an expert who is best acquainted with the market in Western Switzerland. ‘I look forward to the new challenge of carrying on the existing innovative projects and being able to be a part of a successful team,’ says Daniela Boes. She adds: ‘I am convinced that the current situation, particularly within the IT industry, has lots to offer in terms of possibilities for growth for our customers and the site. In addition to pursuing the existing projects, we want to more vehemently tackle other industries such as banking, retail and the luxury goods industry, as well as position ourselves as one of the ‘first in mind’ partners for projects within Western Switzerland.’ adesso’s existing customer portfolio in Lausanne includes renowned customers from the area of public administration. For example, adesso very successfully implemented the ‘ViaParl’ project for the Canton of Valais. The solution offers the canton a fully automated and digitalised monitoring process for all parliamentary initiatives. In addition to customers from the public sector, adesso’s customer portfolio also comprises numerous companies from the field of life sciences: accounts that are now to be further expanded.

The Lausanne branch is managed by Laurent Galster, who has been with adesso for almost 20 years. The Western Swiss native boasts not only valuable industry expertise, he is also deeply familiar with the needs of customers and the market in the Romandy region. After having occupied a leading position at the Bern site for 15 years, he has played a key role in developing the branch since the establishment of adesso in Western Switzerland at the end of 2018.

The further expansion of the site’s personnel is already underway and adesso is becoming an increasingly important employer in the region. adesso is one of the top names in the IT industry within the Romandy region thanks to its attractive working conditions and long-term prospects. Pondering on the company’s plans for growth, Site Manager Laurent Galster reiterates: ‘In addition to hiring five to ten additional top software engineers, we have also set ourselves the goal of expanding other teams in various areas in the coming months. The proximity to the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), in particular, gives us access to excellently trained skilled employees.’ adesso is currently intensively recruiting new employees for its Lausanne site, especially in the areas of DevOps, cloud computing, Java development, low-code and middleware.
