Your apprenticeship at adesso

Apply for one of our IT apprenticeships in application development if...

This is how an apprenticeship at adesso works

1st year: Basic apprenticeship year

You’ll complete your first year of apprenticeship with other apprentices in the vocational training center where you’ll learn the basics of computer science and programming.

2nd year: Getting to know the adesso technology stack

From the second year onwards we welcome you three days a week. Your mentors and other apprentices will introduce you to the technologies we use.

Year 3: Project work - applying knowledge to a project

In the third year of your apprenticeship, you’ll be able to further deepen the knowledge you have acquired and put it to practical use in projects. Of course, you’ll be accompanied along the way and will continue to learn new skills every day.

Year 4: QV preparation and further project work

In the fourth year, in addition to project work, the focus is on your successful completion of the apprenticeship and your graded practical work (QV). After a trial run of comparable work, we’ll close any final gaps in your skill set so that you are well prepared.

What we require from you

We offer a lot to our apprentices, but in return we have expectations of you when you apply to us as a prospective computer scientist in the field of application development with a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ). This way we can be sure that you will successfully complete your apprenticeship – and in the best case stay with us afterwards.

School-leaving requirements
  • Good to very good knowledge of German and corresponding grades
  • Good to very good knowledge of English and corresponding grades
  • Good to very good performance in Mathematics
  • Aptitude and desire to attend BM preferred

  • Do you meet all the above requirements?
  • Are there currently vacancies for apprenticeships at adesso? Please check in advance if there is a position open. We advertise all our apprenticeship positions in orientamento.ch.
  • Have you compiled all the necessary documents for your application file? As a minimum, we require:
    • Short covering letter detailing why you are interested in the apprenticeship
    • Resume
    • Stellwerk8
    • Multicheck
    • Report from your last two semesters of high school

If you can answer “yes" to all of the above, you have a good chance of starting an apprenticeship with us.

Unfortunately, we’re not currently offering trial apprenticeships or trial days. If you want to learn more about the profession of a computer scientist, look out for taster days at the Bbc - they usually take place at the beginning of May.
