Success Story – BANK now

Establishment of Data Governance with SAS Implementation

adesso supported BANK-now in installing, configuring and operating their new SAS 9.4 suite, which improved overall data governance, especially regarding higher data quality, and improved monitoring and reporting.

The customer

BANK-now AG is specializing in credit and leasing. It has 19 branches throughout Switzerland and employs around 350 people. Its headquarters are located in Horgen, in the Canton of Zurich.

Solution

Regulatory requirements are increasing in all areas, including banking. The topic of data governance is becoming increasingly important, especially in the wake of the new data protection regulations. As part of an initiative to establish internal data governance throughout the bank, BANK-now decided to procure software for the systematic analysis and monitoring of data quality. After evaluating several provi- ders, the decision was finally made in favor of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Data Quality Manager Studio 9.4.

Customer benefit

The SAS 9.4 suite allowed an automated monitoring of critical data elements (CDEs) to improve data quality. The results can now be manually reviewed and specifically addressed by the respective data owners in the report using SAS Visual Analytics solu- tion.
