Through its retail digitization program, Loterie Romande (LoRo) has successfully implemented a modern, scalable, and highly available solution built on a cloud-based infrastructure. This initiative marks a pivotal milestone in the full digital transformation of LoRo’s lottery and betting services. The solution is powered by an Azure-based platform, seamlessly integrating applications that connect online and offline offerings. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, test automation, and agile development methods, adesso has not only developed the applications, infrastructure, and platform, but also provides 24/7 support to ensure maximum uptime and continuous development, securing long-term success.

Challenge

In response to technological advancements and changing player expectations, Loterie Romande embarked on its digital transformation in 2023 with the support of adesso. Key initiatives include the introduction of LoRoPlay terminals for scratch cards, sports pre-match and live betting, a mobile app that generates QR codes compatible with traditional and the new LoRoPlay terminals, and a voucher management platform designed to reduce cash transactions. The complex security, performance and scalability requirements, along with a tight schedule, demanded a flexible and future-proof cloud solution.
